The Scioto County Public Library is committed to ensuring that our digital services are accessible to all individuals. We are actively working to align our digital presence with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA standards.

Standards & Conformance

We strive to meet the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Our efforts include:

  • Compatibility with screen readers and assistive technologies.
  • High-contrast color ratios for all text and interactive elements.
  • Full keyboard-only navigation support.
  • Descriptive alternative text for all visual media.

Current Status & Limitations

While we aim for full compliance, some third-party content (such as our Catalog and digital providers like Hoopla) may not yet fully meet Level AA standards.
