He wrote "A History of Scioto County, Ohio Together with a Pioneer Record of Southern Ohio" 1903. Col. Floyd L. Smith was the secretary of the Board of Trade and Commerce Club. Honorable H. T. Bannon was a prominent citizen and congressman. The D. L. Webb Planing Mill was located along the river and manufactured and dealt lumber.
