In about the center of the photograph is a three-story building with dormer windows on the roof. This is the Grand Opera House built in 1895. The photographs are not identified. The only identification was the name Emma Maddock. Research indicates that Emma Maddock was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, in 1861, to John and Maria (Kirk) Maddock. Emma married William H. Doerr and died in Portsmouth, Ohio, December 16, 1938.
