A rust covered red metal tin with gold and black lettering from The Ohio Valley Coffee Co. in Portsmouth, Ohio. Labeled as Big San Coffee brand. The company began in 1921 by Stanton Shela, who was founder and president. In 1950, the stock was sold to a Florida man, and the building sold to Samuel Levi Company. Located 518 2nd Street.
White re-enforced paper bag with green and red print. Mangolia brand with company name "The P.H. Harsha Milling Co." was located at 555 8th St. Destroyed in fire in 1954.
Clear glass bottle embossed: "7 fl oz, Whistle Registered", "Portsmouth, O." and "Bottling Co." on bottom. Incorporated on August 8, 1919 in Portsmouth, manufactured at 235-137 Second (2nd) Street. Created by Charles Grigg of Missouri and his friend Silvester Jones in 1919.
An off-white with black lettering tag for The Security Central National Bank. Writing says "Greetings from the Security Central National Bank, Capital and Surplus $1,100,000.00, Portsmouth, Ohio" On the back is a colored baseball game where you can change the inning, runs, and hits with a dial. The Security Central National Bank was at 825 Gallia Street and opened June 30, 1930. Above the entrance it originally said the "Security Bank". It is now the home of the Southern Ohio Museum and Culture Center on Gallia Steet.
Gold colored metal medallion showing a horse and rider on one side and a native American good luck symbol on the reverse. Forrest and A. Grave Williams, brothers, started the Excelsior Manufacturing Company at Pig Iron Corner in Portsmouth, Ohio around the turn of the century. Excelsior became the manufacturer of "The Original 'Boy Scout' Shoe for Boys". The medallions — considered the first United States Scout medallions — were issued between July 1910, and January 1914. The original group of medallions are dated July 1910, while subsequent issues omit all reference to date.
Black felt bowler style hat with black gross grain ribbon around the brim. Leather inside. Hat made by Trimble Fifth Avenue in New York City but sold at Hall Brother's. "Hall Bros. Portsmouth, Ohio" is on the inside, including their address - 831-833 Gallia Street.

Paper gasoline purchase permit issued in Lewis County, Kentucky for ten gallons of gasoline for a 1935 Ford owned by Ora Faulkner of Vanceburg. During World War II gasoline rationing was motivated by a national need to conserve rubber as well as gasoline.
Silver hexagon shaped token, front side has "John Kilcoyne, 11th (Eleventh) & Lincoln, Portsmouth, Ohio." Back side has "10." Clover images around front edge. Kilcoyne owned a soft drink & pool parlor-later referred to as a saloon.
Paper Anticipatory Tax Note issued by Scioto County dated December 1, 1934. This script was authorized by the county commissioners Austin Taylor, E.E. Rickey and Cliff Dever. County Auditor Henry H. Eccles countersigned the notes. It states: "This note is one of an issue aggregating in amount $65,000.00, issued for the purpose of paying the current operating expenses of said county in anticipation of the collection of delinquent taxes...."
