It was placed in the Historical Register May 19, 1963. In November 2012 the Scioto County Commissioners were granted control and care of the bridge.

Bragdon's Dry Goods was located in the Masonic Temple Building at the north west corner of Fourth (4th) and Chillicothe Streets until the building was partially destroyed by fire in 1925. This view is looking south toward Kentucky.
