Colored image of parade participants and observers at the 1916 Portsmouth Korn Karnival. It was held every fall from 1913 to 1917 when it was suspended due to World War I.
A children's playground located in York Park. The park was located along the Ohio River where a steel mill had been destroyed by fire. The park was named after Levi York, president of Burgess Steel & Iron Works. Mr. York built his new plant in New Boston.

Bragdon's Dry Goods was located in the Masonic Temple Building at the north west corner of Fourth (4th) and Chillicothe Streets until the building was partially destroyed by fire in 1925. This view is looking south toward Kentucky.
