The Good Conduct Medal was established on June 28, 1941 for members of the United States Army and Army Air Forces for exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity or who honorably completed three years of active service. This medal was given to Thomas Cosby Flanery who entered the service on January 8, 1918.
