Photo image of scanned scrapbook page: "Polly Sikes who died at the age of 96". Although the image states her age as 96 at the time of death, she was actually 74 (1799-1873 Stockham Cemetery). Polly (Mary Keyes) Sikes was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia in 1799. Her family moved to Scioto County, Ohio in the early 1800's. Polly instantly became involved in many social groups. In 1819, Polly married Levi Sikes, and the couple moved to Portsmouth shortly after.
