Black and white photo image of the Masonic Hall and Post Office in Wheelersburg. Around 1823, the first post office of Porter Township erected. It was named after Scioto County war hero Major Porter Wheeler's son, Porter Wheeler.

The Masonic Temple building built in 1906 at the corner of Chillicothe and Fourth (4th) Streets housed Bragdon's Dry Goods Store on the first two floors. In December 1925 the building partially burned, but was rebuilt to only four floors to be Kobackers Department Store in 1928. The La Salle Hotel used the upper floors. In 1980, the building became Desco Credit Union.
Sepia tone photo image of the second Portsmouth Masonic Temple Building at the corner of Chillicothe and Fourth (4th) Streets after a damaging fire in December 1928. It was rebiult to only four floors and became Kobackers Department Store in 1928.
The store closed in 1971 and Desco Credit Union acquired the building in 1981.

Nearly destroyed by fire in December of 1925, it was rebuilt to only four floors and became Kobackers Department Store in 1928 - 1971. It was acquired by Desco Credit Union in about 1981.
