Scioto County marriage records list their marriage date as October 3, 1860. Their home on Chillicothe Pike had a view of the Scioto River. Several Herms Floral Company greenhouses were nearby. The details of this celebration were printed in the Portsmouth Times on Saturday October 8, 1910.
