Sepia toned photo image of the Anderson Brothers Department Store at 301-309 Chillicothe Street. Anderson's was open from 1899 until 1935 when Sears Roebuck Department Store moved in. Two floors were added to the building in 1925. Sears closed in about 1983 and the building was later remodeled into Park Senior Apartments.
Black and white image of the bank building at the south east corner of Gallia and Chillicothe Streets. This is the first half completed in 1912. In about 1924 an identical addition was added on the south side where the Lyric Theater had stood.

Sepia toned photo image of the Sixth Street Methodist Church building after 1910, when pool and billiards are listed at the location in the City directory. The Elk Lodge # 154 moved here from Second (2nd) Street in about 1916. This building, which had been a Methodist church at the corner of Sixth (6th) and Chillicothe Streets, was razed for the construction of the Portsmouth's third Masonic Temple building in 1928.
