Photo image of scanned scrapbook page. Pictured is Moses Gregory, a pioneer of Scioto County. Gregory was born March 24, 1801 near Chillicothe. He had two stalls in Market House for his butcher business. In the 1830's, Gregory was elected Scioto County Auditor consecutively, and in 1841, he took a seat as State Legislature for Gallia, Lawrence, and Scioto Counties. Colorized image of two people going across the water of a river in a motor boat. During the early 1900's, there would be man motor boat races held in the Ohio River. This tradition continued through the emergence of the River Day's Parade which would eventually start in 1963.
