Black and white image of the Irving Drew factory. The 1915 Portsmouth City Directory lists locations of the Irving Drew Company as 533-537 Front Street and 1658-1662 Eleventh (11th) Street.
Tinted image of the Excelsior Shoe factory at the corner of Gallia Street and Campbell Avenue. The company began in 1889, moved to Gay and Third (3rd) Streets in 1893 and in 1913 this factory was built. In 1935 Williams Manufacturing purchased the building.

This view does not show the Kricker Building built by George Kricker in 1893 which held Portsmouth City offices, the Business College, and many other businesses. It was farther to the west on Gallia Street adjacent to the Old Stone Post Office.
