Slightly green tinted image of park and hills. York Park, named for Levi D. York, was located on the Ohio River Bank on Front Street between Chillicothe Street and Washington Street in the early 1900's.
Colorized photo image of the Majestic Theatre located at the corner of Sixth (6th) and Chillicothe Streets in the former Methodist Church building. It opened around 1916 and was only listed in the 1918 City Directory. It was demolished for the construction of Portsmouth's third Masonic Temple Building in 1928.

Tinted image of Holy Redeemer church at 1325 Gallia Street. Holy Redeemer was started when the need arose for the separation of the English and German-speaking congregations. In 1853 the Irish Catholic congregation built the first Holy Redeemer building on Sixth (6th) Street. This building was constructed on 1905 on Gallia Street.
