Black & White photo of the Buena Vista (also known as Rockville or Freestone) post office building. The first post office near Buena Vista was opened in 1848, the year after U.S. forces defeated Santa Anna in the Battle of Buena Vista in northeast Mexico. In 1960, the post office closed and the mail was processed through Stout.

Aged photo image with some yellow marks. Shows the building with Buena Vista Freestone Works sign. The company was established in the mid to late 1800's, and it was owned by J. M. Mueller of Cincinnati. There were three quarries that were used behind the building, set back into the hills.
