St. Mary's Church is located at the northwest corner of Fifth (5th) Street.
Bigelow Methodist Church is located on Washington Street at the southwest corner of Fifth (5th) Street.
Black & white photo image of St. Mary's School on the north side of Fifth (5th) Street, between Court and Market Streets. Construction began in 1899 and the first four-year high school students graduated in 1921. Notre Dame High School opened in 1953 and the St. Mary's building was razed soon after.
Colorized photo image of St. Mary's Church. Location-500 Market Street. The church building was completed and dedicated, July 31, 1871. Well known for the matched set of three working tower bells. The bells were cast in Baltimore, Maryland by the McShane Company in 1895.
