The charge of one day was $3.00 according to the History of Scioto County by Nelson Evans. In 1979 the Washington hotel became part of the Riverview Retirement Center serving the elderly and handicapped.

Built in 1905 with a seating capacity of five hundred, it was the prime social gathering place in the early 1900's. Plays, films, and concerts provided entertainment all year round.
