John was born about 1899 to Jacob Hetzel and Anna Maria Geisler in Portsmouth, Ohio. His father was in the butcher business, most likely explaining why John shown here with a pair of cows.
This is what we believe to be my grandfather's grandfather John Hudson married appox. 1861 to Celia. My grandfather was raised by the Hudson's due to my grandfather's mother passing after childbirth. Father unknown as yet. The photo is a reproduction so I don't have anything to go by.
