Bring your baby to the library for active and sensory play, socialization (for parents and babies) as well as fun that helps your kiddo develop a lifelong love for learning!

Activities that promote brain development and social development in little ones will be all around at the baby circus with plenty of sensory rooms & play spaces dressed up like a classic circus! Feel free to dress up for the festivities too! For ages 0-3

Animal & Artist Workshop

Create with Furry Friends! Kids & SAC animals collaborate to make art with hands and paws! Kiddos play and cuddle with dogs and cats from SAC on the canvases totally mess free to create a collaborative masterpiece.

I Hate Mondays: Art, food, & Garfield

Mondays are ruff so come to the library to enjoy Garfield’s favorite foods while we watch his new movie, create cat artwork! We will have real furry kitties from Shawnee Animal Clinic to snuggle and cuddle during the “intermission”

S.T.E.A.M Boat Rapids

Stop by the library for an afternoon of creative play, science, and engineering! Kids will get to design and construct different types of boats, then send them down our makeshift river to see which kind of vessel can stay afloat through the rapids.

Living Museum

Come join us for a super fun art celebration at the library, where friends and creativity come together! As you walk around, you’ll see our library staff act like famous paintings but with a fun twist. And guess what? You can join in too! use your sketchpad, paintbrush, or clay...
