Dragons VS Unicorns Party
Which magical creature do you like the most – dragons or unicorns? Here at the library, we love them both, so we’re having a party to celebrate these two very different but equally magical creatures with themed games, snacks, and crafts! Kids 12 and under are invited to attend.
Live Volcano Terrariums
Create a mini dinosaur ruled world made complete with a volcano that really explodes! This allows you to be creative while learning about chemical reactions and the natural science of dinosaurs while you search the library for the Triassic creatures! For ages 12 & under
Baby Olympics
Music, dancing, sports, & games! Activities that promote brain development and social development in little ones will be all around! For ages 0 to 4
Children’s Book Week: Scavenge-A-Story
At this program kids will become the authors of their own stories! Follow clues and collect story elements from mystery boxes hidden around the library, then combine your elements in any order you want and write or draw the story you’ve made into a keepsake book!
Crawlers & Toddlers Library Playgroup
Let’s learn & play together! Open play & activity space will be provided for new friendships to flourish, brain building fun, and socialization to happen (for parents too!) Every 4th Saturday, monthly from 10am-12pm
Zen Zone
Join us for a day of relaxation and fun! Zen garden building, meditation room, yoga, & games. For tween ages 6 to 12
Scrapbookin’ Saturday
Enjoy fun & crafty Saturdays with Youth Services! We supply the craft supplies. All you need to bring is your favorite pictures! For ages 12 & under but don’t forget your grown up for crafting too! This event occurs on the first Saturday each month at 2pm!
Noon Year’s Eve Party
Bring in the New Year at the Portsmouth library’s annual Noon Year’s Eve party for kids! Join us at this family-friendly event where kids will get to make shiny crowns and confetti poppers, then dance in the new year with a balloon drop at noon. Light refreshments will be served.
Holiday Roly Poly Storytime
